The Australian Rural Leadership Foundation was established in 1992 to respond to emerging challenges for rural, regional and remote Australia. It exists to create a network of leaders with compassion and commitment, strategic thinking and negotiating skills, and the foresight to influence communities, industries, businesses and policy makers. We now have over 500 graduates of the Australian Rural Leadership Program who are committed to the resilience of rural Australia through their industry, community, and family leadership roles. The Foundation's commitment to rural Australia:
The Foundation's goal is that Rural Australia is socially, environmentally and economically healthy, viable, and resilient. To achieve this goal we work to implement our mission of:"Developing leadership excellence to build resilient rural communities."
- Skilled and effective in their roles
- Acting with integrity and upholding ethical standards
- Collaborative and supportive of each other
- Solutions-focused
- Committed to their leaderhip role
- Actively developing future leaders
