ARLP Course 19 applications open

The program’s objective is to improve the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of rural Australia by investing in leadership development. It does this by seeking highly motivated people already actively involved in industry and community, with a commitment and capacity to take on higher leadership roles.

Through interaction with key people in industry, government and community from Australia and overseas, the ARLP builds future leaders through exposure to real issues that are critical to rural Australia. It challenges participants to develop the skills and knowledge and the networks essential to effective leadership.

Current ARLF program participant from NSW David Mailler encourages those who are committed to making a leadership contribution to rural Australia to apply saying, “the ARLP is a unique opportunity to broaden one's horizons and to see the bigger picture of rural and regional Australia.”

Susan Findlay Tickner agrees, saying she was catapulted from paddock to a whole new world during Course 14. “It was a life changing journey during which my eyes were opened to a range of experiences and issue that expanded my understanding of the critical role of leadership in building vibrant and productive rural communities.
