Alan is a committee member of the Kimberley Aboriginal Pastoralist Association and has recently been elected as the Indigenous representative on Northern Rangelands Management for Western Australia.  Alan has provided input into the Kimberley Appropriate Economics Round Table Forums.  Alan is the Chairperson of the Kurungal Council Inc, which is responsible for five Ingidenous communities.

Alan holds a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
