What is 'TRAIL'?

TRAIL (Training Rural Australians In Leadership) is an 8 day residential leadership program for emerging leaders.

It develops a strong platform of skills, attributes, and knowledge for emerging leaders to engage their organisations, communities, and industry in proactive solutions to long-term issues. TRAIL provides a solid basis from which to grow as more effective, experienced leaders.

What do TRAIL participants achieve?

At the end of the program the TRAIL - Open participants will:

  • Be equipped with practical personal leadership skills to participate in industry and community leadership and team roles in the rural, remote and regional sectors;
  • Develop a personal and professional learning plan to further develop their leadership capacity;
  • and have a network across sectors with which to engage and leverage knowledge and contacts.

Who is TRAIL for?

A. Leaders across industry groups that need an introduction to cross-sectoral communication, strategy, and problem-solving. There might also be a need to develop leadership ability across the value chain – from primary producers to retailers to consumers.

B. Emerging leaders that are new to leadership roles.

The group size is 14-20 people. This allows the necessary diversity to promote meaningful discussions whilst maintaining a small enough group to facilitate individualised attention and active participation in group activities.

How much is it?

For an 8 day, fully residential program the investment per person is $8500 plus GST.

Travel to start location is the individual's responsibility.
